2016 C7 Z06 – 1238whp
Hood Closed Grudge Race Car
Built for the kind of racing where talking too much gets you beat, our 2016 C7 Z06 comes in at 1,238whp and keeps it all under the hood—literally. This hood-closed grudge car is designed to look just composed enough while delivering a combination that’s anything but. No flashy cues, no giveaways—just a tightly engineered setup focused on consistency, traction, and putting distance on the other lane. Every detail serves a purpose, and none of it is there for attention. We don’t build these to impress in the pits—we build them to finish the job on the hit.

This 2016 C7 Z06 was purpose-built as a 1238 WHP hood-closed grudge platform, engineered for repeatable power under real racing conditions. At its core is a Thompson Motorsports 416ci LT4 (10.5:1), paired with an F1A-94 ProCharger system and high-efficiency air-to-air intercooling, delivering consistent boost and airflow without compromising thermal stability. The combination is further reinforced by a 200HP Nitrous Express direct port system, controlled through a progressive strategy and Lingenfelter timing management, allowing precise delivery and safe integration under load.
Fueling and valvetrain systems were built to support sustained high-output operation, including ported LT4 heads, BTR Stage 3 centrifugal camshaft, upgraded lifters, trunnions, and chromoly pushrods, ensuring stability across the RPM range. Supporting systems — from the auxiliary low-side fuel system and dedicated nitrous fuel cell to the heavy-duty pulley combination and timing control components — were selected to maintain consistency and eliminate variables. The result is a stable, repeatable dyno curve at 1,238 wheel horsepower, backed by a drivetrain and chassis setup designed to apply that power effectively in a hood-closed grudge environment where precision and consistency define performance.
